Exfoliating the skin is often ignored and that alone can lead to dull congested skin. Similarly dry dehydrated skin looks uneven, patchy and has poor circulation. In addition to this when skin is hydrated and exfoliated it receives more advanced treatments such as laser or microneedling, much better. Facials and dermaplaning are two great ways to tackle exfoliation and dehydration.

The epidermal layer of the skin (the top layer) renews every 30 days. This layer of our skin protect against environmental factors, holds hydration, produces new skin cells and maintains the color of the skin. With everything the skin is exposed to on a daily basis, Dermaplaning can be a great treatment to keep the epidermis healthy. It can reduce scarring, keep blackheads at bay, remove peach fuzz and keep the surface smooth. It is also known as microplaning or blading.

You do not need to plan any downtime to recover from a dermaplaning treatment. You may experience redness or feel like your skin is scraped in the two or three days right after the procedure.
You may notice that your skin looks brighter immediately after the treatment but it often takes a few days to appreciate the full results.
The results of dermaplaning are not permanent. The procedure claims to clear away up to three weeks’ worth of dead skin cells. After three weeks to a month, your results will have faded and need to be repeated.
